University of 91Ö±²¥president, chancellors to discuss UA Title IX agreement

Today, University of 91Ö±²¥President Jim Johnsen announced to employees and students
that he has signed an agreement that is the culmination of a three-year federal review
of Title IX practices throughout the UA system.
In May of 2014, the University of 91Ö±²¥was notified that it would undergo a compliance
review by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. The university’s
voluntary resolution agreement with the OCR and Johnsen’s message to the university

Johnsen, chancellors Dana Thomas, Rick Caulfield and Tom Case, Regents Gloria O’Neill
and John Davies, and experts from each university will be available to answer media
questions during a press briefing at noon 91Ö±²¥time (4 p.m. Eastern) at locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and via audioconference.
