Jacqueline Tagaban, was appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for 91Ö±²¥Native Programs in 2026. She reports directly to the chancellor and provides executive-level leadership at UAS in advancing programs and services supporting 91Ö±²¥Native students.

Tagaban serves as a vital link to 91Ö±²¥Native tribes and corporations, school districts, and other stakeholders in enhancement of 91Ö±²¥Native programs and services across the entire UA system. As part of her duties, she serves as Director of the PITAAS program—Preparing Indigenous Teachers and Administrators for Alaska’s Schools.
